Tamil Language Promotion
Helping the community learn the world's oldest continuing language and the literature it carries.

The Tamil Society of the Northern Territory celebrates Tamil language, culture and community across Darwin and beyond — uniting families, students, elders and friends since 1983.
Festivals, performance and recreation that share Tamil heritage with the NT.
Darwin Thamizh School — weekend classes for children of all levels.
Senior welfare, women's empowerment, youth programs and family wellbeing.

Established in 1983, the Tamil Society of the Northern Territory exists to provide cultural, social, sporting and recreational activities for our members and the wider Darwin community. We foster the study of Tamil language and offer support services to families, elders and new arrivals alike.
Through fresh ideas and collective passion, we work to display the conviction behind our beliefs — and to make the NT a place where Tamil culture thrives.
